What an incredible year 2025 has been for Caro and me!
We stayed at six house sits in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands, looking after five dogs and eight cats. Caro completed her teaching degree, I renovated homes, and we both sold our worldly possessions. We moved out of our one-bedroom apartment and into a VW T4 van, in which we've already driven close to 9,000 km.
During one of our house sits, while driving down, we decided to start a little side project to assist people with house sitting. And so, House Sitters Guide was born. In just two months, I personally wrote 62 articles that aim to answer the most important questions people may have about house sitting.
It's not the easiest task to be on the road and complete articles. I do use AI to assist with research, as well as to correct and better structure my writing, but yes, I really do write hundreds (and at times thousands) of words for each article.
As an added bonus, I use AI-generated images, because in today's world, I can create visuals that are exactly what I need for the article. They're much nicer than stock images, at least in my personal opinion.
Honestly, my goal for this project is to grow it into the biggest resource for people to use, and that goal will continue into 2026. I don't plan on slowing down, in fact, I'm quite certain I'll publish even more posts in the future and engage more on social networks like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, and X.
I know it seems like a lot, but I think with careful planning, I can make it happen. Worst-case scenario, I'll return to focusing only on writing articles.
Either way, I'd like to thank everyone who has visited the website and used my referral links to Trusted House Sitters and other pages. Thanks to you, we're extending our holidays two months at a time, and sometimes even treating ourselves to a coffee.
I hope my information has helped you out. If you have any questions, I'm most often available in the bottom right-hand corner of the page (yes, I answer the messages personally).
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all for visiting our website. I hope that in the future, I can meet one of you during a house sit, and you can tell me how much you love this lifestyle.
All the best and Happy New Year!
Konrad and Caro
